Program Details

Give your two year old a chance to take his or her first steps toward independence and self-care!

Toddlers have an amazing capacity to do things for themselves, if only we could give enough time and space to work on these skills – something that can be hard for us to do in the midst of our busy lives.  Our classrooms are staffed with our experienced lead teachers, who have the patience of saints and expertise in child development. Let them nurture and develop your child’s drive to master the world around him or her in an environment in which learning and play are indistinguishable. Our children will also sing to their hearts content with our talented Music staff. Outdoor play in our secure playground rounds out the morning.

INSPIRE Your Child This Summer!

Embark on an unforgettable adventure with Hopscotch Around the World! Over six exciting weeks, your child will journey across seven continents, discovering new cultures through hands-on learning and exploration. 

Each week, campers will dive into a continent’s unique wonders through engaging activities in STEM, science, music, dance, history, art, and cooking. Mornings will begin on the playground with an energizing round of camp songs and cheers, followed by a choice of sports or dance to get moving before the day’s global adventures begin. With our immersive, 360-degree approach to learning, your child will gain knowledge, creativity, and cultural awareness—all while having a blast! 

Session 1: June 23 - July 3 (No camp on July 4)

Week 1 June 23 - July 27; South America

Journey across this breathtaking continent, home to the world’s largest mountain range, longest river, and largest lake. Campers will explore its diverse wildlife, vibrant habitats, and rich cultural heritage. They will also have the exciting opportunity to witness and learn unique dance steps from a traditional folk dance group!

Week 2 June 30 - July 3; Australia

Let’s Go Down Under! Join us as we explore one of Earth’s greatest ecosystems—the Great Barrier Reef! Campers will dive into the wonders of this natural marvel, discovering its incredible biodiversity. 

Their creativity will be sparked as they experiment with Aboriginal art techniques and learn about Australia’s fascinating wildlife. Plus, an exciting Oceans Rock marine and coral reef exhibit will bring the underwater world to life, making for an unforgettable experience!

Session 2: July 7 - July 18

Week 3 July 7 - July 11; The Arctic & Antarctica

Did you know that the word “Arctic” comes from the Greek arktos, meaning “bear”?

Bundle up and embark on an exciting journey to the northernmost region of our planet! Campers will explore the fascinating world of polar weather, towering icebergs, and massive glaciers through hands-on science experiments and creative LEGO building with Snapology. They will also discover incredible Arctic animals and bring them to life through engaging yoga sessions. Get ready for a cool adventure like no other!

Week 4 July 14 - July 18; Africa

A Safari, You Say?

Embark on an unforgettable journey to a land with diverse and majestic wildlife! This vibrant continent, home to rainforests, grasslands, and vast deserts, will spark curiosity and creativity in every camper. Through hands-on crafts and exploration, they'll bring the wonders of Africa to life. Plus, they will move and groove to the rhythmic beats of African music and drums for an adventure filled with energy and excitement!

Session 3: July 21 - August 1

Week 5 July 21 - July 25; Europe

Asia

Next stop: the largest continent! Campers will unleash their creativity by making ink, crafting paper, and designing unique Asian artifacts. They will also experience the vibrant energy of Bollywood dance, moving and grooving to its lively beats!

Week 6 July 28 - August 1; North America

A Ride to the Land of the Free!

Get ready to explore the wonders of the United States! Campers will dive into exciting lessons about the country's diverse climate, unique plants, and incredible wildlife. They will also discover famous American symbols and landmarks. Plus, a special visit from the Traveling Farm will bring hands-on fun with friendly animals!

Each camper will have a travel suitcase where they will keep their week’s work and display the continent’s sticker. An explorer’s journal showing their incredible journey is just the perfect complement. Each two-week session will end on a high note with a magic show on the final Friday.

SUMMER CAMP REVIEWS

We have absolutely loved our experience at Waterfront Montessori’s summer camp for our son in the Toddlers 2 program. The very high teacher to child ratio has ensured that he has a lot of individual attention and care, which has greatly eased his transition. Being his first time out of the house, we so greatly appreciated the regular check-ins from the administration keeping us informed and aware of how he was doing each day. The Instagram account has further highlighted all of the fun that he has had in music class, outdoors in their beautiful private waterfront open space, and exploring all of the interesting Montessori games and activities in the class room. All in all, it has been a wonderful experience and we are excited for my child to spend more time at Waterfront Montessori as a full time student this fall!

My child has had a really great camp this year. Thank you so much for the great camp! This is our second time at Waterfront Montessori’s summer camp. My son loves to go to school every morning, and loves to tell us the fun activities, the things he learned, and the interactions with teachers and other kids every single day. He also happily sings the camp songs at home. I can feel he is really having great times at school.

There are some aspects we think Waterfront Montessori is doing really excellent. First, teachers are very patient, kind and helpful, and also very devoted. Kids feel loved and safe at school. Second, there are a lot of enrichments, art, music, gym and some special activities in each session of the camp. There are plenty of outdoor activities. I just wanted to let you know how happy we are with last year's Summer camp experience.

We took our 4-year-old son to the camp last year. He really had fun and enjoyed attending every day to the lessons. He enjoyed the place the method and also the teachers and we as parents were really satisfied. Actually, the experience was so great that this year 2023 we brought our 5-year-old son to the summer camp and also his two-and-a-half-year-old brother to the Waterfront Montessori Summer Camp. Again this year 2023 the experience it´s being amazing for both of our kids and they are super happy when we leave them every morning and even more happy when we pick them up at the end of the day. Next year we will have them both coming back to the camp.

I couldn't have asked for a better intro to school life for my son than our experience with summer camp at Waterfront Montessori! As a "covid baby", My child had not yet socialized much outside of our home and the teachers helped us through this transition. After a challenging first week, My child’s tears turned to smiles and he blossomed into a happy school boy. I could not be more pleased with the extra care and warmth that we received. My child has loved the special visits with farm animals, water play and bikes outside and warming up to his classmates. We are so excited for my child’s growth with the school as we look to the second summer camp session and his full time enrollment this Fall!
